HDMI leads provide both High Definition video and multi-channel audio connection between digital High Definition displays, digital AV sources and HDMI switch devices.

This cable type offers the same basic performance as Standard HDMI Cable, it also benefits from having a dedicated data channel, known as the HDMI Ethernet Channel, for device networking.The HDMI Ethernet Channel functionality is only available if both linked devices are HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC) devices.
